Today I read a book written by Balzac, called Eugenie Grandet. The novel describes the distorted life with excessive wealth of Eugenie Grandet. Even though she was rich, her life was still as chary as before. Her fortune attracted a large number of adorers but she couldn’t find her true love. From the process that Eugenie became the victim of money we can clearly see that too much money may be a trouble for personal life. Money is not everything, but without money, everything is nothing. Money can satisfy our material needs, and to some extent, allows us the happiness of spirit. But happiness, especially happiness of spiritual world, does not depend on how much money one has.
