Changes in our life
As is known to all, tremendous changes have taken place in our life in recent decades. These changes are related to all kind of aspects of our life. They include society values changes, family structure changes, festival habits changes, eating habits changes, methods of communication changes, economical changes, environment changes and so on.
Some people say these changes are good, because they let us have a freer and more convenient life. Firstly, because of the new concept of equality of man and woman, more women can go to work and realize their values, this resulting a more harmonious society. People don’t need to keep their unsatisfactory marriage and can get a divorce and then go to find the people who is more suitable .In this way, they can live a life they really want to live. Secondly, people now pay more time to celebrate festivals, even many foreign festivals are included. So people have a richer life than before. Last but no least, with the fast development of information technology, incredible changes have undergone in the methods of our communication. In the old days, we have to spend a lot of time waiting for the letters, while nowadays we can connect people in only several seconds with cellphones or computers. Taken all these reasons into consideration, people can safely come to the conclusion that changes have helped us live a better life.
While others think these changes are not as good as we have expected. Along with them are many negative aspects. In the first place, Some feel that society is headed for serious disorder due to a loss of values like sacrifice and fidelity. We
can see that an obsession with grades, colleges, and jobs has led parents to ignore a traditional emphasis on good behavior, modesty, and politeness of their children. If we let the phenomenon continue ,what our society will be! What’s worse, in the early development of socialism, our country didn’t pay much attention to the issue of environmental protection, our environment has become quit bad, if we don’t put much emphasis on the environment issue and excavate the natural resources blindly, our country will become a barren land sooner or later.
As far as I’m concerned, changes are inevitable in our life, we must be wise enough to choose and accept these changes.
